Following the release of the first official image of Grant Gustin as The Flash, the pilot for The CW series began filming this past Sunday. Geoff Johns wasted little time tweeting a set photo featuring a Central City Taxi Cab and a Central City Police Department confidential file. Today we got our first on-set images of the present day Barry Allen, Grant Gustin together with former Barry Allen, John Wesley Shipp.
With filming under way, the production has cast another role in the pilot. This character also appears in current comic books. The role of police Captain David Singh, will be played by actor Patrick Sabongui. “He will guest star in the pilot. If The Flash receives a series order, there is a chance Sabongui’s role could be expanded to recurring status.” The actor has experience in the sci-fi genre having had roles in “Almost Human”, “The Tomorrow People”, and “Stargate: Atlantis.”
