San Diego Comic Con has become the Mecca for when studio’s make big, bold announcements.  Last year, DC Entertainment and Warner Brothers, via director Zack Snyder, announced that “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” would be the next film following “Man of Steel.” With the team up film not being released until 2016, I believed WB/DC’s presence would be minimal this year.  I figured that at most, we’d get a teaser poster.  Then, it was announced that Zack Snyder would also be directing “Justice League.” So I figured maybe, just maybe they would also confirm a release date for that film.  According to film pundit Nikkie Finke, we’ll not only be getting that release date, but an announcement of a full slate of DC Entertainment films.  According to her sources the lineup includes;

May 2016 – Batman v Superman
July 2016 – Shazam
Xmas 2016 – Sandman
May 2017 – Justice League
July 2017 – Wonder Woman
Xmas 2017 – Flash and Green Lantern team-up
May 2018 – Man Of Steel 2

She also asserts that “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” was delayed so that the studio could secure all the actors needed for “Justice League.” Once again, The Flash is mentioned as being introduced in the first big screen encounter of the Man of Steel & The Dark Knight, along with the formally announced Cyborg (Ray Fisher).  Meanwhile, Aquaman will be introduced in “Justice League”  I don’t care what Phase 3 films Marvel announces, if this is indeed what DC Entertainment have planned….they just won Comic Con….AGAIN!
