This is now Back to Back San Diego Comic Cons, that Warner Brothers/DC Entertainment have WOW’ed Hall H, in regards to “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” Last year, it was Zack Snyder officially announcing the film. This year, he gave us our first look at the first ever, big screen, live action version of Wonder Woman played by Gal Gadot Here it is:
I’m Speechless! Not only does Gal Gadot look great as the character, the costume is extremely comic book accurate. It’s a very atmospheric image, and the Amazonian Princess looks like she’s ready for battle! The outfit looks like a mash up of the New 52 design & the Earth 2 #1 design. Either way, the Queen of Superheroes is finally getting some live action film justice.
Zack Snyder didn’t stop there. He showed a 1:00 clip from the film. The footage is described as follows via Superhero Hype;“Batman is standing on a Gotham rooftop in the rain. His costume isn’t what we’ve seen already. It’s big and bulky, like his armor in The Dark Knight Returns. His eyes light up, solid white. He’s moving a tarp, revealing the bat signal He turns it on and the camera tracks up to the sky. Superman is there, hovering in the light, and he doesn’t look happy. His eyes light up with heat vision as he glares at Batman.” Zack Snyder may not be straight up adapting “The Dark Knight Returns” but he’s certainly lifting imagery and scenes right from it. That 1:00 minute of footage literally gave me chills and had me in tears of joy! It was absolutely spectacular. Picture the standoff between Batman and Superman in “The Dark Knight Returns” animated film, subtract the snow and add rain. You get the idea.
A final surprise included on stage appearances by Henry Cavill (Superman), Ben Affleck (Batman), and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) I’m so happy right now, but all this awesomeness made the wait until May 6, 2016 feel even longer!
